SedAlp – sediment transport in water bodies influenced by hydropower plants

Sediment passability and intensive bed load transport in the Aline region have a significant impact on several water management areas and are the reason for multiple usage conflicts. Documentation in support of improved planning of hydropower plants in terms of sediment passability was to be compiled within the framework of the EU SedAlp project. Therefore, a method had been developed for qualitative analysis of river sites when no specific data about solid matter is available.
